The Finger Lakes Native Plant Society (FLNPS) has organized a juried art exhibit celebrating the beauty and diversity of our region's wild plants and fungi. The show features over 75 works, in a variety of two- and three-dimensional media, created by 50 talented artists from throughout the Finger Lakes and beyond. The show's run: January 18 – March 26, 2010; hosted at the Tompkins County Public Library (website includes hours and location) Opening reception: Friday, January 22, 4-7pm (in conjunction with Ithaca's Gallery Night and the Light in Winter festival) Workshops & plant walks: Jan–Mar (in conjunction with the Living Light exhibit) Schedule of walks & workshops The show's jury includes three local artists, each of whom has established a reputation for excellence in a different medium: Camille Doucet, painting and botanical illustration; Eric Serritella, ceramic art; and David Watkins, Jr., photography.
