Checklist of Vascular Plants - Visitor Center. |
The majority of land within the lower visitor center is "human disturbed". In addition to the park office and toll booth, there is a large parking lot, restrooms, picnic areas, grassy lawns, a large swimming hole just below the main falls, and a few weedy, untended, plantings. Most of the trees and shrubs have been introduced (planted). The only semi-natural part of the visitor center section is a wooded area immediately at the base of a high cliff. Those desiring a cooler, shady spot on a hot summer day, may find respite in those woods. | ||
