Lance-shaped

Lance-shaped is an English term for the Latin word, lanceolate, meaning sword-like, much longer than wide, with the broadest portion toward the base, and the tip being variously pointed.

Lance-shaped and lanceolate are often used to describe the shape of leaves and leaf-like organs such as bracts.
