Symmetrical

With regard to a plant structure such as a leaf, being balanced, equal or equivalent in proportions.  For example, if one were to divide a leaf into two halves, both halves would be the same size and shape.  (Compare with asymmetrical.)
 

Figure A.  If the leaf shown above were pressed flat and hypothetically divided down the middle, the two halves would be equal in size and shape.

Figure B.  If the flower shown above were hypothetically divided down the middle, the two halves would be equal in size and shape.
