A Virtual Tour of the Gorge at Buttermilk Falls State Park | ||

Many years ago, probably
before Buttermilk Park was created, these red pines were planted to
replace mature hardwood trees that were logged. Today, plant life beneath
these pines is sparse, and many of the plants that are present are
invasive species. If not managed, the invasives will eventually dominate the
area. |
