Native Plants, Identifying, Choosing and Propagating for the Home Gardener

Tuesday, June 11, 7pm at the Main Pavilion at Fillmore Glen State Park, 1686 State Route 38 in Moravia, Michael Hannen, a native plant grower and garden planner, and Ellen Folts owner of Amanda's Garden will present a program on identifying native plants, choosing the correct plants and propagation for the home gardener. They will show how easy it is to propagate existing plants.

Preceding the talk at 5:30 pm there will be a guided native plant walk in the park; meet at the Main Pavilion for an easy walk in the lower park and discover native plants there. Native plants will be offered for sale and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Fillmore Glen State Park, co-sponsor of this event. There will be no park vehicle fee for this event.

Michael operates a small perennial nursery in Rochester where he grows over 800 rare and different perennial varieties.
