Description
SUNY ESF's Cranberry Lake Biological Station is offering an outstanding course from July 7th to the 19th: Ecology of Wetland Plant Communities (EFB 496/796) - flyer attached. This 3-credit course is open to undergraduates, graduates, and enthusiasts. It is taught by the legendary Dr. Don Leopold and the soon-to-be legendary Alex Petzke.
Over two weeks, students learn to identify the numerous plant species found in Adirondack wetland communities, visiting harbors of rare species such as bogs, fens, and remnant mines. All the while students live at a remote field station with sunset views over Cranberry Lake, backed by the Five Ponds Wilderness.
This course, room, and board cost $1,298 for NY state residents and $2,522 for non residents. If you are interested in signing up, please send an email to clbs.esf@gmail.com by June 26th.
