Description

In this presentation, you will experience an array of plants of the Pacific NW through the eyes of a recent transplant to Oregon from NY State.  I will talk about both natives and some invasives with a special focus on plants uniquely different than those in NY State, but including some that are similar.  The photos will largely be of the flowers and leaves so as to illustrate what I have seen.  I will provide a context as to what factors create the different habitats and defines where you will find a given species.  The different habitats often have iconic species that characterize the habitats and are fun to know.  The plants will range from small herbaceous plants to shrubs and trees.
