Description
Easy walking so you can focus on learning how to identify members of the Aster family - asters, goldenrods, and probably more. These are the stars of fall flowers, but many people stop at the color. "purple/white aster" or "another goldenrod". We can do better, and learn which species prefer moist, dry, sun, shade, acid, lime, etc! Knowing the conditions helps you find them in the wild.
FOR ALL FLNPS WALKS AND RAMBLES
Required COVID-related safety protocols
- If you are feeling ill, or have a fever, or have recently tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend the walk!
- If any items have been handled by multiple members of the group, hand washing or sanitizing during or soon after the walk is strongly encouraged.
- The group may consist of both vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. Leaders will not attempt to determine vaccination status (nor entertain anyone's claims about their own status), so safety protocols most appropriate for unvaccinated people (as stated above) must be adhered to by all participants.
