Larch Meadow, a section of Buttermilk Falls State Park, is an often-overlooked local natural area in Tompkins County.  It contains a fascinating mosaic of ecological wetland plant communities, easily viewable from a mile-long loop trail.  Despite the impacts of human disturbances over the past two hundred years, Larch Meadow’s plant communities persist, albeit without some of the rare species found there long, long ago.  In this program we will attempt to shed light on some of Larch Meadow’s secrets
