Description
Grab a bag and help collect seeds for the FLNPS December seed exchange, the Plantations Wildflower Garden, and your own efforts. Learn how to identify desirable species even with no flowers and few leaves, whether seeds are ripe, how to store and propagate them – all while walking in pleasant surrounds (TBD). Meet at CCE to carpool. Please sign-up (e-mail info@flnps.org) so that we can notify you of any last minute changes, e.g. postponement.
As of 10/10/12:
Because the seeds are not yet ready in the higher elevations, we will be collecting in the Ithaca area this year. Starting at the Mundy Wildflower Garden of Cornell Plantations, we will collect there and also walk along Fall Creek natural areas towards Monkey Run. Meet at 1:15pm at the Wildflower garden pavilion at the parking lot off of Caldwell Rd, OR at CCE at 1 pm.
