Description

Finger Lakes Land Trust co-hosted with the Cayuga Trails Club. Akiva Silver, naturalist, landscaper, and outdoor educator, will lead a walk that will focus on identification, natural history, wildlife value, the role of invasive plants, as well as survival uses of trees and shrubs. The walk will last two hours or more so please come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain. From Ithaca, take Rte 13 south and turn right onto Rte 327 north, following signs for the Robert H. Treman State Park. After about 3.5 miles, turn left onto Hines Road. Take the first right onto Rockwell Road. The destination will be on the left side of the road. Look for a sign that says Bock-Harvey Forest Preserve. There is plenty of space to park on the shoulder of the road.
