Description
SPECIAL April 1 WALK! We will explore the joys of hiking off trail through tick-infested fields, massive, dense thickets of blackberry, raspberry, greenbrier, multiflora rose, privet, hawthorn and buckthorn and, if we are lucky, a pond border lush with poison ivy, poison sumac, deep mud and treacherous footing. We will scale smooth, wet rockface and iceface (weather permitting). We will stop often to identify plants. Please bring a hand lens, sturdy boots, tick repellant, leather pants and a leather shirt, if you got them. We will leave promptly at 6:00 pm, from Cornell’s Clock Tower.
