Covid policy revised 2022-08-16
As of August 2022, the CDC/TCH metrics formerly used by FLNPS to determine safe levels for in-person walks and talks are no longer being published. The FLNPS steering committee has decided that high local vaccination rates and less serious illness for vaccinated and boosted individuals allow for in-person meetings.* Should conditions change, this decision will be revisited.
We intend to do a live Zoom session from the in-person meeting, if at all possible. If the speaker allows, we will create a video recording of the presentation, which will be available for later online viewing as we have been doing since 2020.
For all meetings, in-person attendees will need to observe the following Covid precautions onsite:
- All attendees must be fully vaccinated and (if eligible) boosted. (We’ll be going on the honor system.)
- Masks are recommended but not required.
- Chairs will be socially distanced.
* If you are immunocompromised, at high risk of serious disease, or you need to protect others at such risk, you may wish to watch video recordings or attend via Zoom.
