Baptisia australis

Blue false indigo is included here because it is frequently sold at native plant nurseries & is both hardy and pollinator-friendly in our region. Actually native to the a portion of the central plains & SE US (PA to s. IN, s. to GA & TN), it is widely naturalized in the eastern portion of North America. Status in NYS is "questionably naturalized." (NYFA)
