Membership Benefits

As a member you will receive our quarterly newsletter Solidago. Each issue contains information about upcoming programs and outings, interesting news about society functions and events, and illustrated articles about native plants. Each new issue is sent to members months before it is available to the public on our website.

Members receive monthly mailings with announcements of meetings, plant walks, and current events. We send announcements to various local newspapers and weblists, but not all are published.  If you would like to ensure that you don’t miss hearing about these events, please consider joining the Society. 

Although most walks are open to the public, in the last few years we have had some walks that were announced only to members.  We will continue this practice for sensitive ecosystems.

We offer $100 scholarships (2 annually) to members for aid in attending relevant conferences. Recipients write an article for the newsletter in return.
