Description
The NY Natural Heritage Program recently led an expedition Wallface Mountain, one of the most botanically important mountains in New York. The cliff of Wallface Mountain is the tallest in the state. This creates a steep pass and talus community that support unique natural communities and a diverse northern flora. In this presentation we step through the expedition, reliving the botanical finds, highlighting the beauty of the landscape, and experiencing the wonder that once captured early botanists such and Torrey and Redfield.
