Description
Jennings Pond, in Danby, New York, is a remote outpost of Buttermilk Falls State Park. It is part of the watershed of Buttermilk Creek. Much of the land immediately around Jennings Pond is wetland, and like many wetland areas, it supports rich and diverse plant communities. It's also an excellent place to find ferns. On a recent survey of the plant community at Jennings Pond, 19 species of ferns were found. Please join us on February 17 for a colorful, virtual tour of this scenic state park satellite.
