Taughannock Falls State Park
A popular gorge walk is open all year, ending at the base of the highest waterfall in NY state, if not the most impressive. Nice spring flowers and ferns abound. The rim trail has many interesting species, although it is quite invaded by swallowwort. Take a look at the view from the railroad bridge at the upper parking lot near the Black Diamond Trailhead - not the same as the falls overlook halfway up the gorge.
