Dicentra cucullaria

Dutchman's breeches can be identified when not in flower by the pinkish root bulblets and by it's green, more dense leaves (compared to D. canadensis). Found in rich forests with D. canadense but apparently can also grow in cooler & more acidic environments (NYFA, link to right).
