There are several Galium spp in our region; at least one is native. Not this one. As with many invasives, this species is found mostly on disturbed soils, e.g. roadsides, waste sites, old fields. Sprawling unless it can climb surrounding plants. Whorls of 6-8 leaves, with a larger inflorescence than most other bedstraws.
