Gentiana clausa

Growing in wet areas, e.g. ditches and meadows in rich soils. A "special use" plant for bumblebees. No white spot at the tip of the bloom (vs G. andrewsii with white tip).

Seedling

Gentiana clausa cotyledons w insert of first leaf
Very tiny, very easy to miss germination. Wait until much larger to pot up. Note more elongated first true leaf (insert not to scale).
