Hieracium scabrum
Found throughout the state, this hawkweed grows in edges and thin soils where competition is not too intense. Unlike introduced hawkweeds, there are leaves along the stem at bloom time. Milky latex in/on broken stems. See Botphoto.info for ID info.
Notice how hairy the leaves are. Very rough texture.
