Hypopitys lanuginosa

Pine-saps are mycotrophs, receiving nutrients via fungal mycelia rather than through photosynthesis. They are often found near oaks.(GoBotany) Blooms in August - September in the Finger Lakes. See similar yellow pinesap Hypopitys monotropa.
