Primarily seen in southestern NY state, this frequently cultivated tree is now spreading into nearby natural areas on its own. It has upright yellow flower panicles (aging to pinkish) on a 30-40' tree and tolerates a wide range of conditions. Often used as a street tree, it is on the watch list for potentially invasive plants in the Finger Lakes.
