Rhododendron maximum

Limited to cool swamps in central NY, but more common in southeastern NY and PA. Large, evergreen leaved shrub up to 10 ft tall. Native to eastern US as far south as Georgia & Alabama and common in commerce. Attracts birds and native bumblebees. Poisonous.
