Rudbeckia laciniata
The only certain native Rudbeckia in NYS. (R. triloba is listed as "uncertain" in the NY Flora Atlas (3/2024)) Found in moist soils and talus slopes. Beloved by goldfinches, it can spread vegetatively into large patches.
