Saururus cernuus
Found in shallow, still water throughout the state, sometimes forming large colonies via rhizomes. Good for bank stabilization and refuges for turtles & other aquatic life. Poisonous in large quantities and deer resistant. Can spread into water up to about 4" deep. Common in horticulture.
