Sisyrinchium montanum

Found in fields and meadows, this blue eyed grass is very similar to S. angustifolium. There are several species of blue-eyed grass in NY state.

Seedling

The iris family is very clearly seen by looking at the base of the leaves. Any Sisyrinchium will look the same at this stage.
