Spiraea alba var. alba
A small-medium shrub found mostly in moist habitats, but also on summits with thin soil layers. Distinguished from S. alba var latifolia by thinner leaves that are more finely serrated, and an inflorescence that is more thinly conical. [Flora North America] Larval host for the spring Azure butterfly.
Serration is visible on the first true leaves, a few showing in this photo.
