Albany Pine Bush

A large tract of pine barrens vegetation between Albany and Schenectady, N.Y. with fire- dependent ecosystem that is globally endangered.  The preserve (click here to visit the webs site) is home to wild lupine, a host for the federally endangered Karner Blue butterfly.
